The New ACAS Semi Voluntary Code
 
The statutory dismissal and disciplinary procedures are being revoked on the 6th April 2009 and being replaced with a new semi-voluntary code of practice. This will of course mean the removal of the sanction of 'automatically unfair dismissal' on procedural grounds and the associated mandatory uplift in compensation as well as the game of 'spot the grievance!'

Redundancy dismissals post 6th April 2009
