New website developed by Advantage West Midlands

In the interests of delivering effective and efficient support to our businesses and our communities during the current economic downturn, Government has asked that each region centralise all support initiatives. Our region's response is being coordinated by the West Midlands Taskforce, led by the Regional Minister Ian Austin.

One Taskforce priority is to ensure all individuals and businesses in the West Midlands region who are feeling the effects of current economic downturn - regardless of geographic location or sector - are aware that support is available for them and where to find it.

Monday 26th January, therefore, saw the launch of a new website, developed by Advantage West Midlands, www.supportwm.co.uk. This simple site is designed to signpost businesses and individuals to the full range of national and regional support currently available. With links to Business Link, MAS WM, ACAS, Job Centre Plus and LSC, support available via the website is wide ranging and comprehensive.

The website will continue to develop over the coming days and weeks, as AWM respond to the changing economic picture and the changing needs of our businesses and communities. www.supportwm.co.uk is being promoted through a region wide press campaign, which also launched on Monday 26th January.
