We offer a dynamic membership package of practical and specific business services and support for women in rural enterprise including; WiRE Local Network Groups (70 across the UK) offering rural business-women the chance to network and do business locally; a quarterly business magazine; monthly e-newsletter; regional conferences and training days and countless marketing opportunities.
 
WiRE members are diverse in terms of geographical location, age, type of business and business aspirations. There is no typical business and no typical WiRE member, it doesn't matter where you live, rural is a state of mind not a postcode.

WiRE women in rural enterpriseWiRE Start up
The WiRE Opening Doors team is currently working in partnership with Business Link in the West Midlands to deliver business start-up advice and support to rural women in the West Midlands region.

The 'Opening Doors' business start up programme is aimed at women who are considering self-employment as an option for them. The 3 day programme, written specifically for women by women, is delivered in local venues 1 day per week over 3 consecutive weeks. The workshops cover confidence building, business strategy, cash flow forecasts and business planning, in preparation for the business launch. The Opening Doors delivery team are all SFEDI accredited business advisors who are available to offer one-to-one business mentoring to compliment the workshop activities.

Post start business skills workshops covering a variety of topics are available to female business owners who have been trading for less than 12 months. Current workshop topics include 'Tax Matters', 'Display Techniques', 'Logos & Marketing' and 'Understanding Websites'.

All events are free to women who live, or run their business, in the West Midlands region and have been trading for less than 12 months.
