Eaternal Nutrition - a new business venture - is the brainchild of Gail Gwynne.

Find out how she went from handing out diet hints and tips to colleagues, to setting up a new company...

Gail Gwynne - West Midlands Women's Business CentreGail Gwynne, from Keresley, set up Eaternal Nutrition after taking redundancy from BT where she had worked for 27 years.

Gail said: “I’ve always been interested in health, diet and nutrition, and ran a diet club at work.

“After having my son, Lewis, I didn’t want to go back to working full-time or travelling long distances from home. Friends were asking me for health and diet advice so I thought I may be able to make money from it. I decided to head back to college to gain formal qualifications in Nutritional Therapy and Weight Consultancy and then launched my business thanks to help received from WBDA."

How training and advice helped Gail

Gail said: “I attended a four-day WEP workshop and went from being unsure I could start my own business, to setting a launch date. The programme gave me more confidence and motivation, along with a ‘can do’ attitude. WBDA helped me achieve my ambition with their advice, motivation and knowledge.”

Gail gives advice on diet, nutritional analysis and help for a variety of problems such as weight gain, menopause, lack of energy, IBS, depression, stress, diabetes and thyroid problems. She will tailor an individual plan based on specific needs and personal circumstances, as well as offering an eight-week intensive weight loss programme.

Gail added: “Within the first few weeks I got my first paying clients so I am very optimistic this will work.”

Gail is also venturing into other projects, including a ‘Ten Years Younger’ scheme with a dentist, beautician and aesthetic nurse, and helping to launch a new magazine, 30-something Mums, as well as providing a quarterly nutrition article!
