We have experience in local and regional policy influencing and, local government work including asylum, housing and culture, conflict resolution and transformation and mediation and facilitating people's interpretation and presentation of their heritage.

So with having this type of background, we started our own business which is an action research venture exploring means of facilitating more active participation in community life and democratic processes.


Help with the business focus

Now the only problem we had when starting up was that we lacked the skills to begin the venture properly, and we were unsure where to find out about our legal obligations etc. Although we have lots of experience in relevant social policy areas, we
didn’t know how to begin to develop these ideas in a business-like way.

By dispelling the myths and exploding the jargon around legal requirements such as mem & arts paperwork, risks and financial planning, WBDA helped us to focus our ideas, think about business planning and get registered at Companies House.

WBDA’s support was reliable and thorough throughout the whole process. I couldn’t be more grateful!

We’ve now got a much better idea of our next steps in moving the venture forward.

The business has become more focused and is on the way to having a clear forward plan!

I feel more confident that our idea is now a real business concept and feel that I now understand the consequences of this.
