My name is Sally Heath, aged 45 and a single mum of two.

I have been sewing since the age of 14 (as I just wanted to be self reliant) and have now been in the clothing alteration business for 11 years.

So I thought that now was the time to set off and start up my own business. I had recently heard an ad on the radio about the services Business Link provided to help people set up their own businesses - so I gave them a ring to find out some more information and they referred me to the Women's Business Development Agency!

I received some one to one business advice sessions with an advisor called Joy Hunter. She provided me some very valuable practical advice what I should do.

She also helped me with the legal side of things - as this was one of my main barriers because I knew nothing about it!

Finally, I know have my own business called 'All Sewn Up' which is a clothing alteration business and I operate within a dry cleaners shop.

I offer a fitting service as well as professional advice.
