"When thinking about starting my own business, I just knew that I couldn’t afford all the appliances that I needed for my business. The best thing that I did was going to see someone from the Women’s Business Development Agency to get help and guidance on where and how to start my business."
Sarah Rowley : TeenieTots Childcare
Sarah Rowley has provided the inspiration for TeenieTots Childcare. Find out how she found assistance to enable her to set up the business…
I am 19 years old and live with my mum, 2 sisters and 1 brother in Coventry. I was searching on the internet one day for help with setting up a business and I came across the Women’s Business Development Agency. I rang them up and got booked in for a one-to-one business advice session with Michelle Grindley.
Help from a WBDA business advisor:
I had help and support every step of the way from Michelle. She
helped me apply for a LEGI grant which helped me get over one of my financial barriers.
I have been on various training workshops that the Women’s Business Development Agency organises such as the Inland Revenue Workshop – these have all helped me turn my dream of offering childcare to parents into a reality because I now run my own childcare service from my home in Coventry.
I found all of the services a great help and I would recommend them to anyone.
It has really helped me to become more confident and run my business effectively.
