"Go on the courses and use WBDA to your full advantage! They are brilliant!"
Chrissie McClelland
Read how Chrissie McClelland used her skills to start up her own business...
I qualified as a hairdresser many years ago and always kept my hand in just to keep my skills but took on a stressful Civil Service job too but had to retire in my early 30’s. I then got divorced and wanted to return to
work but needed stress free job that I could do around my children so decided to use my skills and set up as a mobile hairdresser.
Some support from the Women’s Business Development Agency
I really needed some help with my finances and also how to plan the business. I was recommended the Women’s Business Development Agency by Working Links so got in touch and they booked me in for a face-to-face appointment with my Enterprise Coach, Michelle Grindley.
Michelle provided excellent support from start to finish – I could not have asked for more! She helped me find funding for essential start-up costs and helped me to realise that my business idea had real potential. I am now a happier and more confident person!
